This Policy describes how EdGene Private Limited ("EdGeneAI") collects, uses, and protects personal data across both the hosted Agent Platform and licensed Skills.
1. Who We Are
EdGene Private Limited ("EdGeneAI") is a bioinformatics technology company incorporated in India, operating both the EdGeneAI Agent Platform and the EdGeneAI Skills catalog. Contact: privacy@edgeneai.com.
2. Data We Collect — Differs by Motion
2.1 Information you provide (both motions)
Name, work email, company name, and role — collected when you submit a demo request, sign up for resources, or create an account.
2.2 Platform customers — sequencing data
Raw FASTQ and related files uploaded for hosted analysis. Encrypted in transit and at rest, never used to train AI models, deleted per your agreement's retention schedule.
2.3 Skills customers — no data collection of analysis content
Because a Skill runs entirely on your own infrastructure, EdGeneAI does not collect, see, or process your sequencing data or simulation output at all. We only hold the account/licensing information needed to deliver the Skill itself.
2.4 Usage data
Pages visited, time spent — collected via anonymised analytics only. No cross-site tracking.
3. How We Use Your Data

4. Your Data — Special Commitments
We will never: sell your data, share it with third parties for their own purposes, or use Platform sequencing data to train AI models.
Skills: your data never reaches EdGeneAI's infrastructure at all — the Skill executes entirely on your own systems.
Platform Enterprise on-premise: if you choose on-premise Platform deployment, your data never leaves your own infrastructure either.
5. Data Sharing
We share data only with: cloud infrastructure providers (AWS/GCP) under data processing agreements; payment processors (Stripe, Razorpay); analytics providers under anonymisation agreements. We do not sell data or share with advertisers.
6. Security
All Platform data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). See our Security page for full detail.
7. Your Rights
Access, correct, delete, or port your data; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent. Email privacy@edgeneai.com — we respond within 30 days.
